Chemical, Biological, Radiological & Nuclear Defense Information Analysis Center (CBRNIAC)

Army Research Laboratory (ARL) R&D Support
Scope: To provide R&D services to support the application of technology to solve unique mission requirements related to DOD objectives, transformation of the U.S. military and the Global War on Terrorism. The scope of this contract is to perform services to support research, development, limited acquisition, and logistics support for items and systems supporting ARL, US Army, US Special Operations Command, and Department of Defense (DoD) objectives. Contract covers nine mission areas and ten different technical areas. Subcontractor pass-through is allowed. There is no minimum percentage of the work that must be performed by Battelle.

Army Research Office - Scientific Services Program (ARO/SSP)
Scope: Work of a scientific and technical nature for the solution of problems related to research and development that can be described as a study, analysis, evaluation, assessment or interpretation may be conducted through the SSP. SSP tasks can be performed in any science and technology area of interest to all federal government agencies. For example, SSP tasks are currently being performed in these technology areas: Chemical Sciences, Life Sciences, Material Sciences, Physics, Medical and Health Sciences, Electronics and Computer Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Engineering Sciences, Mathematics, Modeling and Stimulation, Psychology, and Social Science.
Any SOW recommending the work be performed by Battelle is sole source to Battelle as we hold the prime contract and therefore the work is considered pre-competed. Subcontractor pass-through is allowed; there is no minimum percentage of the work that must be performed by Battelle. Work can be subcontracted to small and large business, non-profit organizations, universities, academicians, individuals not affiliated with a business or university, and any combination of the above.

Rapid Prototype & Technology Insertion (RPTI)
Scope: This 5-year contract covers one-stop shopping for fabrication, refurbishment, prototyping and engineering, and ammunition procurement for Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC): Processing, Supply, and Fabrication of Materials of armament-related products, Fabrication, Refurbishment for Armaments or Related Manufacturing Equipment, Prototyping/Engineering Services, Procurement of Foreign Ammunition and Weapons for training, comparison, and testing. Typical projects range from weapon/munitions product improvements, new designs to improve strength of materials and coatings, armor package design to defeat IEDs, engineering design to improve munitions component performance, Rapid design and prototyping to support the current warfighter, manufacturing process improvements to for more efficient munitions/weapon production and more.
User Restrictions: Use of this vehicle is open to the Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC). Outside organizations can use the RPTI ID/IQ for projects within the RPTI technical scope with an urgent Armament and Munitions related mission need. |

Additionally, activities may provide limited support under the contract to other DoD, non DoD, or Joint agencies for work that is integrally related to product areas, programs, or missions assigned to these activities. |
