Addition to “The Climate Pages” Gives Endorsement

Lexington, MA – The Climate Registry recently recognized Battelle for its capabilities and experience in climate change consultation by adding it to The Climate Pages (TCP), a publicly posted list of pre-screened and qualified climate consultation firms and verification bodies. TCP provides companies with independent validation of its members’ capabilities, and gives easy access to their services. Battelle is one of only three organizations approved in all four climate change consultation categories: Regulations and Markets, Green House Gas (GHG) Inventories, Technology and Equipment, and Industry Experience.

Battelle’s inclusion in The Climate Pages is partly based on its reputation and long history of working on climate change issues. Battelle leads the Midwest Regional Carbon Sequestration Partnership for the National Energy Technology Laboratory. Also, Battelle’s work at the Joint Global Change Research Institute and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory has helped companies understand and mitigate climate change as awareness of the issue increases.

Battelle is known for its unique suite of consultation services that can be custom tailored to provide solutions for customers. Organizations that have not conducted emissions inventories come to Battelle to develop and implement customized GHG emissions inventory procedures. Companies also seek Battelle for their support in developing GHG strategies—from helping develop corporate GHG management plans, to evaluating potential emission reductions.

According to Bernhard Metzger, Battelle’s manager of industrial consulting, being a part of TCP means a lot to Battelle.

“We are proud to be included in this publication,” says Metzger. “And we look forward to continuing to provide customized climate change consulting solutions to our clients.”
